Often the most cost effective accommodation for a group or family in London is to rent an apartment or other self-catering accommodation either in central London or its suburbs. The other advantage of self-catering is it allows you to save on expensive meals out, although some London serviced apartments also provide food should you require this. Most self-catering accommodation is not in London's city centre so you are likely to need to take public transport to reach London's tourist attractions.
