Your fastest option is to take the train to Bath and it is also the most economical if you can book ahead to get a good deal. National Express coaches leave from outside the terminal, and it takes 4-5 hours to travel to Bath, including a transfer at London Heathrow Airport. A single ticket costs 27.50 GBP or it is about 36 GBP return.

One-way Return

After booking online, you will be issued with an e-ticket, which you need to print out and take with you, or an m-ticket, which is sent to your mobile phone. Otherwise you can opt to pick up your ticket at the ticket office on arrival. If you buy a ticket for a specific bus time, the ticket is normally honoured for 24 hours from your original departure time should you be delayed.

If you have plenty of time and are looking for the cheapest option you could consider taking a Terravision Bus or an easyBus to London (from 2 GBP one way) then picking up a Megabus or MegaTrain from Victoria coach station or London Waterloo to Bath or Bristol (change to local bus at Bristol) which can cost as little as 1.50 GBP one way if you book far enough ahead.

Luton Airport to Bath by Train

Take the rail shuttle bus from the terminal to Luton Airport Parkway train station. They run every 10 minutes, and a single ticket costs 1.50 GBP if you havenít already purchased your through train ticket. There are around three trains per hour from Luton Airport Parkway and you need to travel via London. On arrival at St Pancras, London, transfer to Paddington mainline station using the London Underground (follow the signs at the station). Take the anticlockwise Circle (yellow), westbound Hammersmith & City (pink) or westbound Metropolitan (burgundy) line to Paddington, from where you can catch your onward connection. The total journey takes just over 3 hours.

Luton Airport Accommodation
